Maker's Statement:
Mosaic is a rich and varied medium. Expressing the characteristics and potential of the materials used is an important part of the process. This is a contemporary approach but the history of mosaic is also an important influence allowing inspiration from the traditions of Roman and Byzantine
work.
Studio visits are welcome.
Commissioning Procedure
Before undertaking commissions we prepare colour drawings after discussions with the client and a site visit if relevant. For larger commissions we make samples to show colours and cutting techniques. We usually use the indirect method which means all work, no matter how large, can be made in the workshop.
Pricing Policy
Large scale commissions in glass and ceramic are priced according to size and start from £1200 per square metre. Marble and smalti work starts at £2500 per square metre. Panels and individual works are priced according to size and complexity and start at £300.
