Roger Cash Roger Cash was born in Kent in 1955, educated at Dulwich College, Queens’ College Cambridge and University College London, where he studied philosophy. Returning to the real world, he trained as a furniture designer & maker at Rycotewood College, Oxfordshire. He set up his own workshop and began making furniture to commission in 1987. Commissioning Procedure After an initial meeting, preferably at the site where the furniture is intended to stand, I will prepare a written Proposal setting out the design brief, specification and budget for the project. If this is accepted, I will produce detailed drawings and samples of materials and finishes as required. For large or complex projects, alternative designs, models and full-scale mock-ups may be produced. The design will be revised as required until agreement is reached, upon which a final fixed price will be quoted. At this stage, a deposit is payable before construction commences. (In case of cancellation during the design stage, I reserve the right to charge for any work so far undertaken) Typically, commissions are completed in 6 months to 1 year depending on the size and complexity of the project.
