Maker's Statement:
I am inspired by ornate objects and designs from decorative, Victorian cornicing, antique china tea-sets to vintage table cloths. I use these as inspiration to create surface patterns onto my fabrics or directly to create an art piece from a pair of vintage curtains. My aim is to reincarnate second hand frames and fabrics into timeless, sophisticated art pieces.
Commissioning Procedure
An initial meeting will be arranged to decide the colours, fabrics, designs and size of the commission. This will be achieved through a portfolio of sample designs. Once the commission details have been finalized the client will be given a price and a lead time. On agreement of the price the client will be sent an invoice for 50% of the total cost. One more meeting will be arranged halfway through to monitor the projects progress.
Pricing Policy
Each commission is individually priced depending on the colours, fabrics and design used to create the piece as well as the size of the commission. An additional cost is charged for a personalized service recreating a client's favourite fabric e.g. grandmother's tablecloth into a timeless art piece.
