Maker's Statement:
Julie produces innovative, functional pieces that are a pleasure to use as well as an aesthetic addition to the space they occupy. Her design and technical skills can be applied to a wide range of outcomes from domestic tableware to ceremonial pieces and architectural metalwork. The concerns repeated throughout Julie's work are space, proportion, line, balance and the relationship between the object and the surface it sits on. She uses primarily silver combining it, when appropriate, with other materials such as brass, stainless steel or glass. Unfortunately she is unable to accommodate studio visits or apprenticeships.

Commissioning Procedure
Procedure and completion time will always depend on the nature of the commission. After discussing the brief or concept in detail with the client the idea would then be developed through drawing and models. Drawings or images of models are agreed upon before the making process begins. Julie is willing to travel if necessary, depending on the scale and nature of the commission.

Pricing Policy
Julie works to commission with prices starting at £1500.
